During the kreef (West Coast rock lobster) season we did a lot of fishing from Contradiction. From Hout Bay to Kommetjie is about 5 nautical miles – just over an hour’s sail or motor. The sea off Kommetjie seems to be crawling with these crawlies. Usually we would deploy 5 ring nets, leave them down filled with pilchards as bait and pull them up after 45 minutes. We always seemed to get our full quota in a few hours. We hope to be out there soon on Nolwandle, as the season opens again on the 15th November!!

The following photos were taking during these trips.
