We have what may be original 1986 44STs on our Wauquiez Pretorien and this diagram seems to match ours except for perhaps one thing. Did you have a third set of hexes near the gear spindle that were bigger than 5mm but smaller than 6mm (and larger than 3/16 but smaller than 1/4) and if so, were you able to get the gear spindle off simply with a flat screwdriver or did you take off those hexes to open the assembly? I've emailed Lewmar asking for a manual that covers the 44ST of this age and if I get one I'll email it to you if you want. Thanks for posting that image! The photos were taken by the previous owner who named her "Rythmic Breeze." When I bought her two years ago, I renamed her "Lodochka" which is Russian for "dear little boat." She is in dry storage in San Carlos, Mexico. I lived on her the winter before last. For the past year I've had health problems that have kept me from returning to her. I put her up for sale, but so far no takers. If my health recovers and she doesn't sell, I'll winter on her again. I like your webpages! -Hugh Hi!
